Estimating Disclaimer

What our estimates and takeoffs are, and are not. Effective September 30, 2026.

Purpose of Estimates

Cestimating estimates and takeoffs are prepared for budgeting, bidding and planning based on the project information provided. They are not a guarantee of final construction cost, bid award, profit, material availability, schedule or field conditions.

Documents Control the Scope

Quantities and assumptions depend on the drawings, specifications, schedules, addenda and instructions supplied. Missing, conflicting or revised documents can change the estimate. Clients should issue current documents and review assumptions/exclusions before relying on the deliverable.

Pricing Can Change

Material, labor, freight, equipment, taxes, subcontractor quotes and market conditions can change by location and time. Important vendor prices and contract requirements should be verified before final bid submission.

No Professional Design/Code Approval

Estimating does not replace architectural/engineering design, permit review, code compliance review, stamped professional calculations or construction supervision unless a separately contracted licensed professional explicitly provides those services.

Client Review

The client remains responsible for reviewing the deliverable against the bid documents, confirming scope boundaries and making the final bid or purchasing decision. Report questions promptly so clarifications can be addressed before the deadline.
